Job Description
KCA University (KCAU) is seeking a Graduate Assistant to support the department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. This role provides an opportunity for recent graduates to gain academic, research, and teaching support experience while supporting high-quality teaching and learning within the institution.
Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning
Assist lecturers in preparing teaching materials, tutorials, and coursework.
Facilitate discussion groups, tutorials, or practical sessions where required.
Support the marking of assignments, tests, and examinations under supervision.
Provide academic support and guidance to students.
Research Coordination
Engage in research activities, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
Assist with research projects, including preparing reports, presentations, and grant development.
Administrative and Student Support
Assist departments in maintaining student records and data entry.
Support the organization of departmental activities, including seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and ceremonies.
Perform administrative duties within the department as assigned.
Assist in organizing student activities.
Provide student support and services, referring them to appropriate support channels.
Supervise undergraduate interns where applicable.
Attend departmental and faculty meetings as required.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
A strong academic record (at least Second-Class Upper Division or equivalent); First class is an added advantage.
Must be currently enrolled in a Master’s Degree program.
Demonstrated interest in research, teaching, or consultancy.
Proficiency in programming, data analysis, or AI-related tools is an added advantage.
