Role Overview
The Global Career Development Program (CDP) Associate role is designed to develop high-potential professionals into future leaders of the company. The role provides structured, cross-functional exposure across Marketing & Commercial, Product & Network, and Corporate & Innovation divisions, equipping participants with an end-to-end understanding of the container shipping business. The individual is expected to contribute meaningfully during each assignment while progressively building the commercial, operational, analytical, and leadership capabilities required for long-term careers within the company.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Support inland transport coordination, port operations, feeder, and transshipment activities.
Assist in monitoring vessel schedules, service reliability, and operational KPIs.
Support equipment control activities, including empty repositioning and stock monitoring.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve operational exceptions and disruptions.
Ensure compliance with safety, DG (Dangerous Goods), port, and customs regulations.
Execute assigned operational, commercial, and corporate responsibilities with increasing independence and accountability.
Demonstrate adaptability and learning agility when transitioning between roles, functions, and geographies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Economics, or related discipline from a reputable university.
3 - 8 years of working experience in a relevant position.
Experience in the shipping/logistics business is an added advantage.
Strong interest in developing a long-term career in the maritime or logistics industry.
Good communication skills - fluent in English (spoken and written).
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good PC skills, such as Google Workspace Suite.
Diligent with high standards of accuracy and detail.
Good organizational and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure & excellent time management skills.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Strong teamwork, communication, problem solving, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
Certified to process DG shipments (preferred).
