Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC (KenGen) was incorporated in 1954 to develop geothermal and other generating facilities in the country. The company is currently seeking a Geophysicist Intern to assist in the exploration and development of energy resources through technical surveys and data analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare inception reports for assigned projects.
Conduct reconnaissance, hydrological, and geophysical surface surveys to support exploration efforts.
Integrate and interpret data from various geophysical techniques to provide technical insights.
Execute comprehensive geophysical exploration programs according to company standards.
Contribute to the scientific process of well siting for power generation projects.
Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations.
Develop and refine geophysical conceptual models.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Physics, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Applicants must be prepared and willing to serve in any of KenGen's business areas across Kenya.
