The General Surgeon will be responsible for managing patient surgical care, performing specialized procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence are maintained within our state-of-the-art facility.
Responsibilities
Conduct consultations to assess patients' medical conditions and determine the necessity for surgical intervention.
Perform various general surgical operations and procedures with high precision and care.
Manage comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care plans for surgical patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthetists, nurses, and other specialists, to ensure patient safety.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including surgical reports and progress notes.
Lead and mentor junior medical staff and theater teams to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
Requirements
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Master of Medicine (MMed) in General Surgery.
Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
Possession of a valid and up-to-date practicing license.
Significant experience as a General Surgeon in a busy hospital setting.
A commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
