Job Description
The General Manager for Real Estate & Construction is a senior leadership role responsible for driving top-line growth, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and overseeing the successful execution of property development and management strategies. This position combines strategic business development with operational excellence to maximize the value of the property portfolio and ensure construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Sales, Revenue Growth & Business Development: Drive top-line growth by leading property sales and leasing strategies, building a strong client pipeline, and identifying new investment and development opportunities. Actively influence deal closures and maximize portfolio revenue.
People Leadership & Team Performance: Build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams across sales, property management, and construction. Set clear KPIs, coach team members, and drive accountability to ensure consistent delivery of results.
Client & Customer Experience: Strengthen relationships with clients and stakeholders by delivering a high standard of service. Ensure strong customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships that enhance the company’s reputation.
Property Portfolio Performance: Oversee the performance of residential and commercial properties by improving occupancy rates, optimizing rental income, and maintaining high asset value through effective management practices.
Project Execution (Construction & Development): Ensure all construction and development projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards, while effectively managing risks and coordinating stakeholders.
Financial Performance & Profitability: Take ownership of financial outcomes by managing budgets, controlling costs, and using financial insights (e.g., ROI, forecasts) to drive strategic decisions and overall business profitability.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
An MBA is considered an added advantage.
At least 7 years of experience in real estate, property, or construction sectors.
MUST be a registered member of the Estate Agents Registration Board (EARB).
Proven success in sales leadership and revenue growth.
Strong people management and team leadership skills.
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management capabilities.
Solid financial acumen, including proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
