Role Overview\nThe United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a Fundraising & Market Research assistant to support the Climate Finance Unit (CFU). This role involves identifying funding opportunities, conducting strategic analysis of the donor landscape, and helping develop the unit's resource mobilization strategies.\n\n### Duties and Responsibilities\n- Support in monitoring calls for proposals, funding opportunities, and other resource mobilization prospects, and help draft concept notes and proposals.\n- Assist in conducting market research and competitive landscape analysis to support the Unit’s fundraising strategy, including mapping donor priorities, funding trends, and partnership opportunities.\n- Support the preparation of pitch decks, presentations, and briefing materials for donor engagement and partnership development.\n- Assist in compiling data, case studies, and impact narratives for inclusion in fundraising and reporting documents.\n- Support coordination efforts with other units to help identify areas of synergies and mutual interventions.\n- Participate in CFU’s internal meetings and assist the team in preparing report documents and communication resources.\n- Support on other duties on a needs basis.\n\n### Qualifications and Special Skills\nApplicants must meet one of the following requirements:\n- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).\n- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).\n\n\nInternational Relations, Geography, Environmental Science, Energy Policy, Communications, Business Administration, or a related discipline focusing on climate change, sustainable development, and/or international environmental governance.
