The Role
As our first engineering hire on the accelerator team, you will architect and build a mobile-first fintech product from scratch. You will play a central role in shaping the technical foundation and translating vision into a real, scalable product. This is a deeply hands-on role where you will design the architecture, write production-level code across backend and frontend, and establish the engineering standards that will define the venture long term.
You will also manage and guide an external development team, ensuring high standards of execution, speed, and quality. Working directly with the CEO Office, you will turn ambitious ideas into secure, scalable, real-world solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture.
Build and ship the first version of a mobile-first fintech product.
Write and review production-level code across the full stack.
Lead and coordinate external development agencies working on the project.
Establish AI-first ways of working with Claude Code / Cursor.
Make key decisions around tooling, infrastructure, and security.
Translate ambiguity into clear technical direction.
Balance rapid iteration with fintech-grade reliability and risk awareness.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: BA/BSc/HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: True full-stack engineering experience across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and CI/CD.
Fintech Expertise: Proven experience building products in the fintech space where security, reliability, and trust are essential.
Building from Zero: Experienced in building products from zero to one.
Technical Mindset: An AI-first pioneer, comfortable working with AI coding agents (Claude Code/Cursor) to multiply productivity.
Commercial Awareness: Product-minded and commercially aware with the ability to zoom out to strategy and dive deep into implementation.
Adaptability: Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity, fast-moving environments.
Personal Attributes: High ownership, strong judgment, and low ego.
