Gertrude’s Children’s Hospital is seeking a Full Stack Developer to provide programming support and technical expertise within its hospital management information system (HMIS). The successful candidate will work closely with users to identify operational needs, develop custom applications, and ensure data integrity across the hospital's ICT infrastructure. This role involves full-cycle software development, database administration, and technical documentation to support both existing and new systems.
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Development: Provide programming within the hospital management information system and for in-house IT projects.
User Consultation: Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
Technical Documentation: Write documentation to describe custom configurations, operating procedures, user guides, and technical specifications for new and existing applications.
Expert Recommendations: Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems.
Database Administration: Provide SQL and MySQL development and administration in both live and test environments.
System Support: Investigate and resolve application functionality-related issues and provide advanced-level support and troubleshooting for all systems.
Data Integrity: Verify database and data integrity, analyze corporate databases to identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
System Design: Assist in the creation of system designs and functional specifications for all new development projects.
Integrations: Develop and maintain database and application integrations.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in ICT or a related Computer Studies field.
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional work experience in software development and database management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and MySQL development and administration.
Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills for data integrity, ability to draft technical procedures, and expertise in system design.
