Machakos Institute of Technology is seeking a dedicated and qualified Food and Beverage Trainer. The institute is a Limited Liability Company operating as a training institution under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing students in both the theoretical and practical aspects of food and beverage services and operations within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
Deliver theoretical and practical training in Food and Beverage management and service.
Prepare and update comprehensive lesson plans, training materials, and instructional modules.
Evaluate student progress through regular assessments, practical exams, and professional observations.
Maintain high standards of professional practice and hygiene within the training facilities.
Provide guidance and career mentorship to students pursuing technical hospitality courses.
Ensure training aligns with the Ministry of Education and TVET quality standards.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
Technical Qualification: Diploma in Technical Education from Kenya School of TVET.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a technical or vocational training setting.
