Role Overview

The Fleet Officer is responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of goods, managing delivery schedules, and ensuring timely fulfillment across routes and destinations. This role involves supervising drivers, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate records to optimize logistics costs and operational performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Fleet & Logistics Coordination
Plan and coordinate the transportation of goods.
Manage delivery schedules and ensure timely fulfillment across various routes and destinations.
Driver Supervision & Performance
Supervise drivers, monitoring their discipline and productivity.
Ensure strict adherence to operational and safety procedures.
Vendor/Carrier Management & Cost Control
Manage relationships with vendors and carriers.
Track logistics costs and recommend improvements for better efficiency and cost optimization.
Compliance, Records & Reporting
Maintain accurate fleet and logistics records.
Handle issues related to deliveries and prepare routine performance reports as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics/supply chain operations.
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proficiency in logistics/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of transport coordination, route planning, and delivery operations.
Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is considered an added advantage.
