As a Fitter at West Kenya Sugar Limited, you will be responsible for the continuous maintenance and operational efficiency of plant machinery. This hands-on role requires technical expertise in mechanical repairs, installation, and metalwork to ensure minimal downtime and support production goals.
Responsibilities
Maintain, repair, and install plant equipment to ensure smooth operations.
Execute technical tasks including welding, fitting, rigging, and metal fabrication.
Provide critical support during planned plant shutdowns and manage emergency breakdowns.
Focus on keeping machines running optimally and reducing operational downtime.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
Requirements
Must possess a Craft Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Welding.
A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability as a practical, hands-on problem solver.
Must be physically fit and highly conscious of workplace safety standards.
