Job Description
748 Air Services (K) Ltd, an Air Charter Company authorized by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, is seeking a First Officer for their Dash 8 Q400 aircraft fleet based in Nairobi. The successful candidate will assist the Pilot in Command in the safe operation of the aircraft while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities
Assist the Pilot in Command (PIC) in the operation of the aircraft during all phases of flight.
Perform pre-flight inspections and ensure aircraft readiness.
Monitor aircraft systems and performance during flight.
Communicate with Air Traffic Control and other relevant ground services.
Adhere to all KCAA regulations and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain professional standards and contribute to a safe cabin and cockpit environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a holder of a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL); a valid ATPL is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2500 hours total flying time.
Minimum of 1000 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC).
Minimum of 500 hours on the Dash 8 Q400 aircraft type.
Hold a valid Instrument Rating.
License must be endorsed for the Dash 8 Q400 aircraft type.
Hold a valid Class I Medical certificate.
Achieved Level 4 in English proficiency.
Must have completed current Crew Resource Management (CRM), Aviation Security, and Dangerous Goods courses.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in a related field is considered an added advantage.
