Shalom Community Hospital is a fully-fledged private hospital with roots dating back to 1992. We are dedicated to providing quality and affordable healthcare services. We are currently looking for a competent and experienced Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure institutional sustainability.
Role Overview
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the hospital's financial health, coordinating audits, and ensuring compliance with all financial policies and tax laws. The role requires a strategic thinker who can manage working capital, oversee payroll, and provide data-driven insights to the Board and management.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and report monthly management accounts, as well as quarterly and annual financial statements. Analyze business operations including revenue trends, expenditure, and financial commitments.
Audit & Compliance: Coordinate the financial audit process and ensure all records comply with accepted policies and financial reporting deadlines.
Budgeting & Cash Flow: Prepare budgets and cash flow projections to ensure the hospital's liquidity and financial stability.
Operational Oversight: Manage and improve company working capital financing. Oversee payroll management and ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenses.
Invoicing & Debt Management: Handle invoicing, payment reconciliations, and the collection of debts as per agreed terms.
Internal Controls: Establish and monitor the implementation of procedures across various departments and serve as a risk management champion to safeguard company assets.
Administration: Prepare Board papers and review/approve payment vouchers and cost analysis.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
Professional Certification: Must be a CPA (K) holder.
Education: A Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Accounting.
Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in QuickBooks, Payroll software, and other accounting tools.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles and applicable Kenyan tax laws.
Experience: Extensive experience in preparing ledger entries, processing payments, and report preparation.
