The Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) is the umbrella body for enterprises in Kenya, mandated to promote employer interests and influence labor policies. FKE is seeking a Finance Intern to work under the leadership of the Finance Officer. The intern will collaborate with other finance professionals to gain exposure to various aspects of financial operations, analysis, and reporting. The role involves assisting with financial and accounting tasks, supporting the team in day-to-day activities, processing transactions, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in financial data entry and recording transactions.
Maintain accurate financial records.
Assist in reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Process invoices and statements.
Handle petty cash and process tax filing documents.
Support the preparation of Donor reports and participate in donor-related activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support projects and associations accounting.
Assist in receipting and generating regular and ad hoc financial reports.
Perform any other assignments as requested.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or any other relevant field.
CPA III Finalist/ACCA III or its accepted equivalent.
1 year of relevant post-professional qualification experience.
Technical financial skills and analytical abilities.
Strong interpersonal and digital skills.
Proficient in report writing and record management.
Impeccable integrity, ethics, and confidentiality.
Ability to meet strict timelines with initiative and a positive attitude.
