Finance Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and US GAAP, oversee month-end and year-end close processes, maintain balance sheet reconciliations, and prepare statutory financial statements.
• Accounts Payable & Expenses: Oversee supplier onboarding, invoice processing and allocation, employee expense claims, corporate credit card administration, and timely payment of vendors and employees.
• Tax Management: Review and oversee the filing of VAT, WHT, WHVAT, instalment tax, and corporate tax returns, while serving as the primary liaison with tax authorities.
• Audits & Controls: Coordinate internal and external audits, work closely with external accounting firms, and ensure compliance with financial control and reporting requirements.
• Asset Management: Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, monitor asset tracking, conduct expense reviews, and strengthen financial controls and governance processes.
• Intercompany Transactions: Manage intercompany invoicing and reconciliations, coordinate settlements with the netting center and regional finance teams, administer withholding tax requirements, and prepare payment files.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Must be a CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist.
• Up to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, financial reporting, tax, or a related finance function.
• Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience using financial systems such as SAP, Coupa, or similar ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify issues, and provide practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail, with strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
