About the Role
This role involves data collection, community engagement, and supporting research activities that inform decision-making and policy insights.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct field-based data collection and personal interviews within local communities.
- Engage professionally with local residents and community stakeholders.
- Utilize Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) applications to accurately record research survey responses.
- Meet quality and timeline targets set for field research projects.
- Support supervisors in ensuring research integrity and compliance with study protocols.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Technical Specifications
- Must be a resident of Bomet County.
- Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Have at least three (3) years of experience in data collection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in research or fieldwork.
- Proficient in Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) platforms, including: ODK, Survey CTO, Kobo Collect, and Survey To Go.
- Own a tablet or smartphone that meets the following specifications:
- Android 10 or higher
- Minimum of 4 GB RAM
- Screen size of at least 6 inches
- Be available for field assignments for the next three months.
- Provide a recommendation letter from a previous employer or supervisor.
