As part of our Field Engineer team at Baker Hughes, you will be responsible for providing technical and operational support at work sites. This role involves direct coordination with crew members, customers, and operations managers to ensure efficient tool deployment and service delivery. You will be actively involved in solving complex technical challenges on-site while managing the logistics of outbound and inbound equipment.
Responsibilities
Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services, including liaison with customers and shore-based Operations Managers.
Participating in finding solutions to complex technical problems through hands-on work at the work site.
Preparing, documenting, and receiving outbound and inbound equipment and products, including products to and from the work site.
Providing support for tenders, including data analysis and cost estimates, as well as performing invoicing activities.
Engaging in job shadowing opportunities to develop a holistic understanding of the business.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (all fields), Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geosciences, or a similar STEM field.
Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.
Legal authorization to work in Kenya as a Kenyan citizen; no employment sponsorship will be provided now or in the future.
Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for teamwork and the ability to guide others.
Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and numerical skills.
Proficient in data analysis and project management.
