Vivo Energy, the Shell licensee in 16 African countries, is seeking a Field Based Account Manager (ICAM) to drive its Lubricants business. The role holder is responsible for delivering financial and non-financial business targets through the effective implementation of functional plans and the management of customer and distributor portfolios within an assigned region.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Delivery: Deliver financial targets (margin, cost, EBITDA) and non-financial targets (volume) through disciplined implementation of business plans.
Strategic Planning: Provide input for Lubricants business plans and strategies aligned with Vivo Energy’s vision to grow market share and deliver T&R.
Portfolio Management: Use defined tools to manage customer and distributor portfolios and deliver measurable results.
Route-to-Market: Propose and implement changes to the Lubricants Route-to-Market structure to increase sales effectiveness and penetration across priority channels.
Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Marketing Execution: Implement Lubricants marketing propositions and promotions with support from the Marketing team.
Compliance & HSSE: Manage business operations in compliance with Vivo Energy HSSE requirements, including conducting regular distributor audits.
Relationship Management: Develop strong working relationships with distributors and customers to facilitate sell-in and sell-out processes.
Business Development: Identify opportunities for trading up and cross-selling, and develop clear business plans for distributors with maximized targets.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: NQF Level 7 (Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales & Marketing.
Industry Knowledge: Previous hands-on sales experience in FMCG channel/distributor management.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Selling & Negotiation, implementation of marketing initiatives, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Soft Skills: Good problem-solving and communication skills.
