Job Description
Role Overview
The F&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all food and beverage service areas, including the restaurant, bars, and room service. The role focuses on ensuring seamless operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency, and delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Supervision: Oversee and coordinate all food and beverage service areas to ensure seamless restaurant functioning.
Standards Maintenance: Ensure all F&B staff follow operational procedures and maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, hygiene controls, and housekeeping.
Guest Relations: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and prompt, professional handling of complaints.
Inventory & Supply Management: Monitor operating supplies and stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to reduce spoilage, wastage, and pilferage.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Staff Management: Manage service staff including scheduling, delegation of duties, and performance monitoring.
Training: Assist in training new staff on service standards, techniques, and operations.
Coordination: Liaise with Kitchen, Front Office, or Reservation desks to cover booking details and ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
Reporting: Prepare daily reports on restaurant activities, sales, and staff performance.
Administrative Duties: Perform opening and closing procedures, attend staff meetings, and conduct briefings on special events or menu items.
Asset Maintenance: Check the cleanliness and condition of furniture, linen, cutlery, chinaware, and other service accessories, taking corrective action as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on F&B operations and banqueting.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong knowledge of F&B service standards, hygiene regulations, and inventory management.
