West Kenya Sugar Limited, located in Kakamega, Kenya, is a key player in the Sugar and Confectionery Product Manufacturing Industry. We are seeking a dedicated Evaporator Operator to manage and monitor our process plant operations.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of fermentation, distillation, and process control systems. You will play a critical part in maintaining production standards by monitoring technical parameters and resolving issues in real time.
Responsibilities
Run fermentation, distillation, and process control systems.
Monitor operational parameters such as temperature, pressure, and yield to ensure optimal production.
Troubleshoot process issues in real time to minimize downtime.
Work closely with laboratory and maintenance teams where applicable to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
BSc in Industrial Chemistry or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
0–5 years of experience in a process plant environment (e.g., distillery, brewery, or chemical plant).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working in shifts.
