Role Overview
The Affordable Housing Board (AHB) is seeking an Estate Management Officer at the entry and training level. This role is designed for degree holders who will assist in the management and maintenance of affordable housing properties, ensuring they comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Property Oversight: Assist in overseeing the management of affordable housing properties to ensure they are well-maintained and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential areas for improvement.
Lease Management: Participate in the preparation, review, and management of lease agreements, including renewals and terminations, while ensuring compliance with board policies.
Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate routine maintenance and repair activities by liaising with contractors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of property details, tenant information, lease agreements, and maintenance activities using property management software.
Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on property conditions, maintenance activities, and tenant-related matters for management review.
Documentation: Document all property management activities, including inspections, repairs, and tenant interactions, ensuring proper record-keeping.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitor housing properties to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and board policies, reporting any issues that require corrective action.
Eviction Processes: Assist in managing eviction processes by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to legal procedures.
Emergency Response: Respond to property-related emergencies, such as maintenance failures or safety incidents, and escalate issues as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Real Estate Management, Construction Management, Valuation and Property Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
