Equip Africa Institute - Perioperative Theatre Technology Trainer (Thika)

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and teach the assigned units, as outlined in the course outline in line with the course curriculum.
• Learning Materials & Records: Develop learning materials, prepare and submit professional records in a timely manner, and maintain records to monitor student progress, achievement, and attendance.
• Individualized Learning: Plan, develop, and deliver appropriate learning plans for individual students.
• Student Assessment: Assess students' work, monitor their achievement, and supervise them during assessments.
• Course Review: Participate in the course review process and adapt delivery patterns to meet student needs.
• Grading: Examine and mark Trainees’ Assessment Tests (C.A.Ts) and end-of-term assessments, and timely upload marks in the MIS of the assigned units.
• Practical Instruction: Carry out practical instructions for trainees and maintain their portfolios of evidence.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
• Departmental Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registered Nurse status with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in training in a similar institution.
• Valid Technical Trainer Registration by TVETA.
