Job Description
Equip Africa Institute, an affiliate of Mount Kenya University, invites applications from suitably qualified, dynamic, and visionary professionals with a proven track record to fill the position of Perioperative Theatre Technology Trainer in Nakuru.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and teach the units assigned, as outlined in the course outline in line with the course curriculum.
Instruction:
Learning Materials & Records: Develop learning materials, prepare and submit professional records, and maintain attendance and achievement records to monitor student progress.
Individualized Learning: Plan, develop and deliver appropriate learning plans for individual students.
Assessment: Assess students' work, monitor their achievements, mark Trainees’ Assessment Tests (C.A.Ts) and end-of-term assessments, and timely upload marks to the MIS.
Course Review: Participate in the course review process and adapt delivery patterns to meet student needs.
Practical Training: Carry out practical instructions for trainees and maintain their portfolios of evidence.
Supervision: Supervise students during assessments.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
Registered Nurse status with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in training in a similar institution.
