Job Description
The Enrolled Nurse III position is an entry and training grade for the nursing cadre within the Narok County Public Service. Officers at this level work under the guidance and supervision of senior nursing staff to provide essential healthcare services to the community. The role is pivotal in delivering primary healthcare, maternal health services, and maintaining clinical standards within the county's health facilities.
Responsibilities
Assess patients and clients to establish healthcare needs.
Plan and implement nursing care interventions based on specific patient requirements.
Provide a range of healthcare services, including immunizations, ante-natal care, and delivery services.
Administer medications and dispense drugs as required.
Refer patients and clients appropriately to higher levels of care.
Evaluate healthcare outcomes and prepare individualized patient reports.
Develop and execute appropriate discharge plans for patients.
Conduct health assessments in schools and prepare periodic reports on findings.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of patients' personal and health conditions.
Ensure a tidy, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Secure the safe custody of in-patients' personal belongings.
Conduct home visits to follow up on discharged patients and ensure continuity of care.
Treat minor ailments as per protocol.
Requirements
Certificate in Enrolled Community Health Nursing from a recognized institution.
Enrolment Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Certificate in computer application skills will be an added advantage.
