The Electronics Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. The role involves ensuring the operational efficiency of critical systems while adhering to NAVFAC MO-200 standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance: Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic and electrical equipment to ensure peak operational efficiency.
Diagnostics & Testing: Perform comprehensive tests, inspections, and diagnostics on electrical and electronic systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
Compliance Management: Ensure all activities comply with NAVFAC MO-200 standards, including adherence to training and certification requirements for personnel.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Technical Analysis: Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring schematics, and electronic diagrams to perform system repairs and modifications.
Safety & Standards: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, operational requirements, and applicable electrical codes.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to ensure the timely completion of maintenance tasks and repairs.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training to maintain required certifications and stay updated on technological advancements and NAVFAC standards.
Requirements
Experience: Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment.
Certification: Must possess certification and training in working with electrical or electronic equipment as required by NAVFAC MO-200 standards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, wiring schematics, and electronic manuals.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Travel Documentation: Must be in possession of a valid passport (valid for at least one year at the time of hiring) and be able to travel internationally.
Medical Fitness: Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain these requirements for the duration of the deployment.
