As an Electrical Technician at West Kenya Sugar Limited, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the plant's electrical and automation systems. Your role involves proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for control systems to maintain stable industrial operations.
Responsibilities
Maintain electrical systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and various instrumentation.
Troubleshoot electrical and system faults to minimize downtime and ensure stable plant operations.
Provide technical support for automation and control systems.
Lead or assist the engineering team in routine maintenance and system upgrades.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering.
Between 2 to 8 years of relevant experience, with the level of responsibility adjusted based on experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a systems-thinking approach to problem-solving.
Practical experience with PLC and SCADA systems is considered a distinct advantage.
