The Electrical Maintenance Technician at Tetra Pak plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and automation equipment. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various industrial components, ranging from motors and control panels to complex PLC and SCADA systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, panels, and control systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.
Automation Systems Support
Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA systems.
Support the integration of sensors, actuators, and control systems.
Assist in programming or modifying automation logic as needed.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical and automation systems.
Use diagnostic tools to predict failures and reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
Installation & Commissioning
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or automation systems.
Read and interpret electrical and automation schematics and technical drawings.
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and standards.
Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date documentation for wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and system configurations.
Report faults, repairs, and improvements to the maintenance manager.
Collaboration
Work closely with engineers, production teams, and other technicians.
Provide technical support during production or process issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and industrial automation.
Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), VFDs (both AC & DC), and industrial networks.
Knowledge of SAP CMMS.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
