Safal Group is seeking a dedicated EHS Officer to oversee and enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS) policies and regulations. This role ensures the company fulfills its statutory obligations, maintains a safe work environment through regular risk assessments, and manages incident investigations and EHS training.
Key Responsibilities
Enforce compliance with Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ensure statutory compliance in health, safety, and environmental areas, including audits, waste disposal, and firefighting equipment inspections.
Coordinate and conduct risk assessments.
Document and investigate all accidents or incidents and implement preventive actions.
Facilitate EHS induction training for new hires and visitors.
Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to educate employees on their responsibilities.
Develop safety guidelines, safe work systems, and standard operating procedures.
Support and enhance compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Stay updated on EHS legislation and communicate changes to management.
Provide monthly EHS reports and maintain records of permits, licenses, and certifications.
Coordinate the 'Permit To Work System' for hazardous activities.
Supervise EHS improvement projects and support broader efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant EHS experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
Demonstrated expertise in EHS best practices and program implementation.
Analytical skills to research and recommend process improvements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
