Nakuru County Government is seeking to recruit 22 qualified individuals for the position of ECDE Graduate Teacher II. This role involves teaching and facilitating early childhood development and education, fostering a supportive learning environment, and engaging with the community to promote early learning initiatives.
Responsibilities
Conduct class teaching and facilitate learning processes for ECDE students.
Serve as a role model, providing guidance, counseling, mentoring, and motivation to young learners.
Prepare and maintain professional records, including schemes of work, lesson plans, daily programs of activities, and student assessment reports.
Ensure the safety and security of all learners under your care.
Develop and facilitate play-based learning activities to help children enjoy education in ECDE centers.
Create relevant play and learning materials tailored for all learners.
Assist in the planning and implementation of ECDE center programs and county ECDE policies.
Conduct research related to Early Childhood Development and Education.
Participate in stakeholder engagement and community mobilization to sensitize parents and the public on the importance of ECDE.
Assist in the implementation of the ECDE policy.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must currently be serving as an ECDE teacher with the County Government of Nakuru.
Possession of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C+ (Plus) or its equivalent.
Alternatively, a KCSE grade of C (Plain) plus a KNEC Diploma in ECDE, or a KCSE grade of D+ (Plus) with a KNEC Certificate and Diploma in ECDE.
Must be a holder of a Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by a recognized institution of higher learning.
Mandatory registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Proficiency in computer applications evidenced by a certificate.
Possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the National Police Service.
A valid medical report from a recognized government health facility.
