Steady Driving School was founded with a simple mission: to create safer roads by training confident, responsible drivers. Though we are a new driving school, we bring years of combined experience and a fresh approach to driver education.
We are looking for a dedicated and disciplined Driving Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing students for their NTSA driving examinations by delivering high-quality theoretical lessons in the classroom and/or hands-on practical training on the road.
Key Responsibilities
For Practical Instructors:
Conducting one-on-one behind-the-wheel training sessions.
Teaching vehicle control, road safety, and defensive driving techniques.
Maintaining the training vehicle in good condition and reporting maintenance needs.
Preparing students for the NTSA practical driving test.
For Theory Instructors:
Delivering structured classroom lessons based on the NTSA curriculum.
Teaching road signs, traffic rules, and basic mechanical knowledge.
Assessing student progress through internal mock exams.
Guiding students through the NTSA portal and exam booking process.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must possess a valid NTSA Driving Instructor's License (Mandatory).
A valid Driving License with a clean driving record.
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a driving instructor in a reputable school.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
High level of patience and the ability to handle students with varying learning speeds.
Basic computer literacy for managing student records.
