Job Description
The National Council for Children's Services (NCCS) is a State Corporation established under Section 41 of the Children Act, 2022. The Council is mandated to regulate, coordinate, and oversight children's services in Kenya and advise the government on all matters relating to children.
Duties and Responsibilities
Driving vehicles as authorized.
Keeping up-to-date work tickets for vehicles.
Cleaning of the assigned motor vehicle.
Preparing and submitting regular reports on the assigned motor vehicle.
Maintaining a proper mechanical working condition of the vehicle.
Ensuring the security and safety of passengers and the vehicle on and off the road.
Ensuring possession of all requisite documents for any specific journey.
Adherence to and observation of traffic laws.
Reporting any incidents to the police and/or the office immediately after they occur.
Undertaking any other functions as may be lawfully assigned.
Job Specification
For appointment to this grade, candidates must meet the following requirements:
At least two (2) years of proven driving experience.
At least a mean grade D (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for the classes of vehicles the driver is required to drive.
Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade I from the Ministry of Roads and Public Works.
A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
A First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or any other recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
