Job Description
The Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (CRVWWDA) is one of the nine Water Works Development Agencies in Kenya, established under the Water Act 2016 to serve the counties of Nakuru, Narok, Laikipia, and Baringo.
The primary purpose of the Driver II role is to provide secure and timely driving services to employees and other authorized stakeholders. The role also involves ensuring that agency vehicles are properly maintained and kept in good condition for smooth mobility.
Responsibilities and Duties
Driving vehicles as authorized by the agency.
Maintaining up-to-date work tickets for all assigned vehicles.
Ensuring the assigned motor vehicle is kept clean and in proper mechanical working condition.
Ensuring the security and safety of passengers and the vehicle both on and off the road.
Adhering to and observing all traffic laws and regulations.
Reporting any incidents to the police and/or the office immediately they occur.
Detecting and reporting common mechanical faults.
Person Specifications and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, a candidate must have:
A mean grade of D+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
A valid driving license category C and D, free from any current endorsements.
An Occupational Trade Test III Certificate.
A First Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John's Ambulance or any other recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
