Job Description
The Director – Supply Chain Management is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing procurement, logistics, and asset management functions within the Commission. The role ensures that all supply chain activities are conducted efficiently, transparently, and in full compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act and other relevant regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing leadership in procurement and supply chain management operations.
Overseeing procurement planning and implementation processes.
Ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations and policies.
Managing supplier relationships and procurement contracts.
Monitoring asset management and inventory control systems.
Strengthening transparency and accountability in procurement processes.
Advising management on procurement strategies and resource utilization.
Preparing procurement and supply chain management reports.
Requirements for Appointment
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly within a public sector context.
Demonstrated professional competence and administrative capability for the management of the supply chain function at a senior level (Grade PSC 3).
Knowledge of the legal framework governing public procurement in Kenya.
