About the Judicial Service Commission (JSC)
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is a constitutional commission established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya. The Commission's mandate includes promoting and facilitating the independence and accountability of the judiciary, and the efficient, effective, and transparent administration of justice.
The Commission is seeking to recruit a highly qualified, strategic-minded, and results-oriented individual to fill the position of Director, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication.
Position Overview
The Director, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication will lead and oversee the communication, public relations, and media strategies for the Judicial Service Commission, shaping public perception, enhancing transparency, and ensuring effective internal and external communication.
Job Requirements
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have:
Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Social Sciences, or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized university/institution.
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Social Sciences, or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized university/institution.
Relevant professional certification.
Membership to a relevant professional body.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Met the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.
Completed a course in Strategic Leadership Development or its equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum Fifteen (15) years relevant work-experience with at least five (5) years in Middle Level Management.
