Director of Monitoring and Evaluation

Kenya Connect is seeking an experienced, visionary Director of Monitoring and Evaluation to lead our data collection, analysis, and learning processes. Job Overview

The Director of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) will oversee the design, implementation, and refinement of Kenya Connect's M&E frameworks. The role involves guiding data collection, conducting robust quantitative and qualitative analyses, and translating insights into actionable strategies to enhance NGO program outcomes and report to donors.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A degree in Monitoring and Evaluation or Statistics
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in M&E, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership M&E role
• Demonstrated experience working with non-profit or NGO programs in a field-based setting, preferably in Kenya
• Proven track record in monitoring and evaluation, including designing and refining data collection and measurement tools
• Experience supporting program teams to use data for learning, decision-making, program adaptation, and/or donor reporting
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, STATA, Excel, Power BI, or similar)
• Experience with mobile data collection platforms (KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare, or similar)
• Strong qualitative skills including interviewing, storytelling and understanding a deeper context beyond numbers
• Strong report writing skills and excellent communication skills
