The Director – Finance and Accounts provides leadership in financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting within the Commission. This is a high-level leadership role responsible for ensuring fiscal integrity and compliance with public financial regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties
Overseeing financial management operations within the Commission.
Coordinating preparation of budgets and financial plans.
Monitoring financial expenditures and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Preparing financial reports and statements for management and oversight bodies.
Ensuring compliance with public financial management laws and regulations.
Supervising financial accounting and reporting processes.
Strengthening internal financial control systems within the Commission.
Advising management on financial planning and resource allocation.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven professional competence and leadership in financial management.
Thorough understanding of public financial management laws and regulations in Kenya.
Experience in strategic financial planning and resource allocation at a senior level.
