HF Group is seeking a Digital Product Manager to lead the strategy, discovery, development, and commercialization of its digital products. This role is pivotal in identifying product opportunities in mobile-led savings, digital workflows for the Tenant Purchase Scheme (TPS), property marketplace optimization, and Core Banking System (CBS) integrations. The successful candidate will drive the product vision and roadmap while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and data protection laws.
Principle Accountabilities
Product Strategy & Discovery
Lead market research and user discovery to identify opportunities in mobile-led savings, TPS digital workflows, and property marketplace commercialization.
Conduct technical, financial, and regulatory feasibility assessments to inform go/no-go decisions.
Define and communicate product vision and roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
Product Development & Delivery
Partner with mobile operators (Safaricom, Airtel, Telkom) to co-create and launch digital savings products integrated with the CBS.
Drive the development of the Tenant Purchase Scheme (TPS) digital platform, optimizing tenant onboarding and payment processing.
Lead the commercialization of the digital property marketplace, defining monetization and user acquisition strategies.
Manage integrations between the CBS and external platforms like Boma Yangu, eCitizen, CRM, and partner APIs.
Oversee implementation of property management tools and rental collection automation.
Product Growth & Optimization
Monitor performance through user adoption metrics, engagement analytics, and revenue attribution.
Lead iterative product cycles informed by user feedback and A/B testing.
Design and execute go-to-market strategies with marketing, sales, and customer service teams.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Innovation, Marketing, Compliance, Finance) and external partners.
Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and SLA performance tracking.
Serve as the primary product owner, translating requirements into user stories and technical specifications.
Risk, Compliance & Security
Ensure products comply with CBK guidelines and the Data Protection Act (2019).
Mitigate product risks, including security vulnerabilities and operational dependencies.
Embed risk management into product design and delivery processes.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Certifications: Professional certification in Product Management (e.g., CPM) is strongly preferred. Training in Agile/Scrum is an added advantage.
Experience: 4–6 years in digital product management, fintech, proptech, or digital banking.
Technical Skills: Proven track record launching and scaling digital products; experience with CBS, API integrations, and multi-platform ecosystems.
Sector Knowledge: Experience in housing finance or real estate technology is highly desirable.
