Role Overview
This role leads the sponsor experience vision and strategy for World Vision’s Sponsor App and Portal - the primary digital touchpoints for deepening sponsor relationships. By shaping a future-facing digital journey, this role ensures sponsors are inspired, engaged, and connected to the children and communities they support.
Acting as the sponsor’s advocate, the role translates insights, content, and engagement trends into a compelling experience roadmap. It partners with Support Offices, digital enablement, and technical teams to bring sponsor experience priorities to life. Beyond features and functions, this role focuses on storytelling, emotional connection, and impact - creating digital journeys that foster loyalty and retention.
While the App and Portal are the primary focus (90%), the role also ensures they connect seamlessly with Support Office digital opportunities (10%), strengthening cohesion and creating a unified sponsor journey across touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Shape Sponsor Experience Vision & Strategy
- Develop and champion a clear, future-focused vision for the Sponsor App & Portal.
- Ensure sponsor journeys are inspiring, intuitive, and aligned with World Vision's mission and brand.
- Rally stakeholders around a shared digital engagement roadmap that balances sponsor needs and organizational goals.
Lead Sponsor Insights & Engagement Design
- Use sponsor insights, research, and feedback to shape digital journeys and priorities.
- Foster deeper connection, trust, and retention through meaningful interactions.
- Translate sponsor needs into engaging, value-driven experiences.
Guide Content & Impact Storytelling Strategy
- Bring the sponsorship story arc (problem, plan, progress) to life in compelling ways within digital experiences.
- Highlight transformation, impact, and sponsor value through content strategies that create emotional resonance.
- Establish best practices for integrating storytelling seamlessly into the app and portal.
Drive Collaboration with Support Offices (SOs)
- Align SOs on common goals and ensure they actively shape the sponsor experience strategy.
- Use global collaboration frameworks to balance consistency with local flexibility.
- Foster shared ownership and accountability in delivering outstanding sponsor experiences.
Champion Innovation, Measurement & Optimization
- Translate digital engagement trends into future-ready improvements.
- Define and track sponsor experience KPIs (e.g., engagement, satisfaction, retention).
- Use data-driven insights to inform refinements and innovation across the platform.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years in digital product strategy, customer/sponsor engagement, or related roles.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Digital Product Strategy, Marketing, Communications, Human-Centered Design, or related field. Equivalent relevant experience considered.
- Track Record: Proven success shaping user/customer journeys that deliver measurable outcomes and driving emotional connection and retention.
- Interpersonal: Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional, multi-market stakeholders.
- Context: Experience in donor/customer engagement or mission-driven contexts is a strong advantage.
- Languages: Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
- Skills: Visionary thinker, strong storyteller, skilled collaborator across technical and creative teams, and analytical/data-driven approach.
Work Environment
- Travel required up to 15%.
- Standard office environment with remote collaboration tools.
