The Digital & E-Channels Support Officer ensures that all Digital and E-Channels Systems are properly managed, delivering business results and a delightful customer experience. This role involves technical troubleshooting, system maintenance, and proactive monitoring to maintain high availability and security for the bank's digital platforms.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Ensure the proper management and performance of Digital and E-Channels Systems to deliver business results.\n- Diagnose and resolve system-related issues or failures collaboratively with vendors and development teams.\n- Participate in system implementation, rollouts, and upgrades, ensuring proper configuration and change control.\n- Protect business systems and document policies, procedures, and guidelines for information processing.\n- Monitor system uptime, approval rates, and overall efficiency, performing root cause analysis on failures.\n- Adhere to all internal processes, regulations, statutes, and external legislation regarding compliance.\n- Contribute to achieving a 'Satisfactory' audit rating by adhering to required standards and manuals.\n- Address and escalate control and risk management requirements within the assigned remit.\n\n### Qualifications and Experience\n- Bachelor's degree in an ICT-related field from a recognized university.\n- At least 2 years' experience in a competitive Digital Channels and Payments environment.\n- Working experience in Linux and Unix-based environments with proficiency in Linux scripting.\n- Competence in SQL database scripting (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and MySQL).\n- Competence in WebLogic, Boss, and Apache-based technologies (Tomcat, Maven, Kafka).\n- Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift technologies.\n- Competence in API technologies (REST, SOAP) and testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, curl).\n- Knowledge of Web Services integration to Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and associated tools.\n- Experience with Message Queuing Systems (IBM MQ, JMS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ).\n- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Splunk).\n- Knowledge in No-SQL, ITIL foundation, DevOps, CI/CD, and Mobile Banking platforms is an added advantage.\n- Knowledge of Service Desk technologies like Jira, Manage Engine, or ServiceNow is an added advantage.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply through the Co-operative Bank of Kenya recruitment portal.
