Job Description
The Deputy Director – Internal Audit (Information Systems) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing audits related to information systems, digital infrastructure, and technology governance within the Teachers Service Commission. The role ensures that the Commission's technology systems are secure, functional, and compliant with both internal policies and national ICT governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Information Systems Audits: Conduct and lead comprehensive information systems audits across all departments of the Commission.
ICT Security Assessment: Review ICT systems to assess the effectiveness of security controls and risk mitigation mechanisms.
Data Management and Integrity: Evaluate data management practices and digital system integrity to ensure reliability and confidentiality of data.
Risk Management: Support and lead risk assessments related to technology systems and digital infrastructure.
Governance Compliance: Review compliance with ICT governance frameworks, institutional policies, and statutory regulations.
Audit Reporting: Prepare and present detailed audit reports on information systems performance, highlighting vulnerabilities and recommending improvements.
Follow-up Actions: Support and monitor the implementation of corrective actions arising from audit findings.
Technology Risk Monitoring: Continuously monitor emerging technology risks within the Commission’s digital environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) from a recognized institution.
Job Grade: Eligibility for appointment to TSC Grade 5.
Specialization: Demonstrated expertise in Information Systems auditing and ICT governance.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of ICT security frameworks, control mechanisms, and data management standards.
