Job Description
Tourism Fund (TF) is a State Corporation established under the Tourism Act, 2011. The Deputy Director of Information Communication Technology is a senior leadership role responsible for steering the organization's technological direction, ensuring alignment with national standards and organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Formulating and implementing ICT policies, procedures, and systems to streamline operations.
Planning, designing, and aligning ICT strategies with the Fund’s broader objectives.
Coordinating the design, development, and maintenance of the Fund's network infrastructure and services.
Overseeing intranet and internet services to ensure seamless connectivity.
Advising management on effective ICT governance structures and standards.
Providing technical specifications and standards for ICT procurement.
Planning and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
Researching emerging ICT trends to keep the organization updated.
Ensuring strict compliance with ICT standards, procedures, and government regulations.
Updating and maintaining the Fund’s official website.
Overseeing technical support services and user training programs.
Reviewing ICT feasibility studies and recommending best practices for implementation.
Departmental planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation.
Requirements
Minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant experience, with at least five (5) years in a senior role (Principal ICT Officer level or equivalent).
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CISM, CISA, or equivalent database/web development certifications (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, PHP, HTML, ASP).
Membership in a relevant professional body in good standing.
Completion of a leadership course lasting at least four (4) weeks.
Proficiency in various computer applications.
Successful candidates must provide clearance certificates from: EACC, HELB, KRA, CRB, and a Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI.
