Job Description

The Deputy Director – Human Resource Development at the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is a senior leadership role focusing on staff capacity building, training coordination, and professional development initiatives within the Commission. This role is essential for professionalizing the teaching service and fostering a culture of continuous learning to improve institutional performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinating staff training and development programs across the Commission.
Supporting implementation of professional development strategies for staff.
Assessing training needs and coordinating capacity building initiatives.
Monitoring effectiveness of staff training and development programs.
Supporting development of institutional learning and development frameworks.
Coordinating leadership development programs within the Commission.
Supporting performance improvement initiatives through targeted training programs.
Preparing training reports and development plans.

Requirements and Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field.
Must meet requirements for TSC Grade 5.
Significant experience in human resource development, training coordination, or professional development strategies (Senior Level).
Knowledge of institutional learning and development frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate leadership development and capacity building programs.
