Role Overview
The Deputy Commission Secretary – Human Capital Management (Grade: PSC 2) supports the strategic management of human resources within the public service. This role is pivotal in providing leadership for human capital strategies and ensuring the effective implementation of talent management frameworks across government institutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Providing leadership in human capital management strategies within the public service.
Framework Implementation: Supporting the implementation of recruitment and talent management frameworks.
Staff Development: Coordinating staff development and performance management initiatives.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitoring compliance with human resource policies and public service guidelines.
Employee Welfare: Supporting the implementation of employee engagement and staff welfare programs.
Workforce Planning: Coordinating workforce planning initiatives across government institutions.
Advisory Services: Advising public institutions on human resource management practices.
Reporting: Preparing reports on human capital management initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc) or a Higher National Diploma (HND).
Extensive knowledge and experience in human capital management.
Familiarity with public service human resource policies and guidelines.
