Kenyatta University is seeking a qualified academic professional to join the Department of Public Law as a Lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, engaging in impactful legal research, and contributing to the overall academic mission of the university. The role requires a blend of academic expertise in public law and practical teaching experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver lectures and facilitate seminars in Public Law and related specialized areas.
Conduct original research and contribute to legal scholarship through publications.
Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
Develop curriculum materials and design assessment tools for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Participate in departmental administrative duties and university-wide committees.
Support the university's mission of community outreach and professional development within the legal field.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: A Master’s degree in a relevant area of specialization from a recognized University. Possession of a PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization will be considered a significant added advantage.
Teaching Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or equivalent experience in Research or Industry.
Alternative Experience: Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
