Kenyatta University is seeking a qualified Academic Lecturer to join the Department of Private Law. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction to students, contributing to the academic development of the department, and engaging in research activities. This position is suitable for experienced legal educators or professionals from the industry with a strong academic background.
Responsibilities and Duties
Deliver lectures and conduct tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate law students.
Conduct original research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
Supervise student research projects, theses, and academic assignments.
Participate in curriculum development and review within the Department of Private Law.
Engage in departmental meetings and contribute to university administrative committees.
Provide academic mentorship and guidance to students.
Qualifications and Experience
Academic Credentials: A Master’s degree in relevant areas of specialization from a recognized University.
Teaching Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, or equivalent experience in Research or Industry.
Tertiary Experience: Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
Added Advantage: A PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization.
