Kenyatta University is seeking a qualified individual to join the Department of Agricultural Economics as a Lecturer. The role involves academic instruction, conducting research, and contributing to the university's academic mission across its various campuses.
Responsibilities
Delivering lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and potentially postgraduate students.
Conducting original research in the field of Agricultural Economics and publishing findings in reputable journals.
Developing and updating course materials, curricula, and instructional methods.
Supervising student academic projects and research work.
Participating in departmental and university-wide administrative and community engagement activities.
Engaging in scholarly activities that enhance the reputation of the department and university.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: A Masters degree in relevant areas of specialization from a recognized University.
Teaching Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level, in research, or within the industry.
Alternative Experience: Candidates with four (4) years of teaching experience in a tertiary institution will also be considered.
Preferred Qualification: A PhD degree in a relevant area of specialization will be considered an added advantage.
