The Delivery Sales Agent is a dual-purpose role focused on driving both sales growth and logistics efficiency for LPG products. The primary objective is to manage the door-to-door delivery of cylinders while fostering strong, long-term relationships with customers in the Mombasa region. This role involves operating delivery assets (trucks), achieving set sales targets, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management: Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with existing customers and ensure retention.
Sales & Market Expansion: Maintain detailed records of current and prospective customers to expand sales presence and command the local market.
Logistics & Delivery: Execute timely, door-to-door delivery of products to customers along assigned routes without delays.
Asset Management: Take full responsibility for the assigned delivery truck, including safe driving and performing basic maintenance (checking tire pressure, fluids, insurance validity, mirrors, and lighting).
Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate sales and delivery records; achieve or exceed monthly sales targets as set by the department.
Digital Operations: Scan and upload sales data for every cylinder sold on a real-time basis.
Problem Solving: Resolve customer complaints and technical issues promptly to ensure maximum satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Provide feedback on customer needs, competitor activities, and potential opportunities to supervisors.
Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications
Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or a Higher National Diploma (HND).
Experience: Previous experience in Sales or Marketing is considered a significant advantage.
Languages: Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
Technical Skills: Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and operate digital scanning/sales tools.
Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, persuasion, reliability, and a proactive approach to market threats.
