Debt Collection Call Center Team Lead

Mogo Finance is seeking a Debt Collection Call Center Team Lead to organize and coordinate tasks within the debt collection team to ensure efficient operations. The role involves supervising team activities, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring full compliance with ethical standards and company policies.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Organize and coordinate work tasks to ensure efficient operations.\n- Ensure full compliance with ethical standards, company policies, and procedures.\n- Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information at all times.\n- Ensure timely execution and completion of duties assigned.\n- Maintain full knowledge of the company’s operations, structure, products, and services.\n- Monitor and enforce customer contractual obligations, payment timelines, and debt recovery processes.\n- Supervise team activities to ensure achievement of set collection targets.\n- Monitor, train, and support staff on the use of call centre tools and the company ERP system.\n- Identify training needs and develop relevant training materials for the team.\n- Allocate portfolios and distribute daily tasks to debt collection agents.\n- Conduct performance reviews in line with company requirements.\n- Engage customers and advise on viable debt repayment solutions.\n- Ensure accurate and up-to-date customer data is maintained and accessible to relevant stakeholders.\n- Conduct coaching sessions, call listening, and call calibration for agents.\n- Handle customer inquiries via calls and in-person office visits when required.\n- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of debt collection processes.\n- Perform any other duties as assigned.\n\n### Requirements\n- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.\n- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in debt collection, customer support, or call centre operations, preferably within a financial institution.\n- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\n- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.\n- Fluency in both English and Swahili.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested and qualified candidates should apply online through the Mogo Finance recruitment portal on Sage HR at .
