The Sales Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales and business data to support strategic decision-making and drive commercial performance. The role focuses on transforming raw data into meaningful insights through reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis to enhance sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to support business operations and sales performance tracking.
Generate accurate reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Advanced Excel, Power BI, and Tableau to support business intelligence needs.
Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in sales and operational data, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
Utilize Advanced Excel techniques, including PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas, and macros, for data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and validate data efficiently.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Production, and Management to understand business requirements and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards and reporting requirements.
Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data pipelines to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Support business performance monitoring by developing interactive dashboards and maintaining reporting systems.
Provide basic IT support related to data systems, including hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and system setup to ensure smooth operation of reporting and data storage systems.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years' experience in data analysis, sales analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
