The County Chief Officer, Performance Management will serve as the authorized officer and accounting officer in a specific department and shall be responsible directly to the respective County Executive Committee Member.
Duties and Responsibilities
The specific duties for this senior role include:
- Administration of a county department.
- Formulation and implementation of programs designed to attain Vision 2030 and relevant sector goals.
- Development and implementation of strategic plans and sector development plans.
- Implementation of policies and regulations.
- Providing strategic policy direction essential for effective service delivery.
- Ensuring comprehensive compliance with the National Values and Principles of Good Governance, and the Values and Principles of Public Service as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Be a Kenyan citizen.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University recognized in Kenya. Possession of a Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Possess vast knowledge and experience of not less than 10 years in the relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior/managerial position within a large organization.
- Must be registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
